Controversies in fat acceptance
The fat acceptance movement, also known as the body positivity movement, has been the subject of various controversies over the years. Here are some of the most common controversies:
Health concerns: Critics of the movement argue that promoting acceptance of being overweight or obese may lead to complacency with unhealthy lifestyle habits, and ultimately, poor health outcomes. They argue that encouraging people to embrace their larger bodies may discourage them from losing weight, which can lead to health problems such as heart disease, diabetes, and cancer.
Normalizing obesity: Some people believe that promoting fat acceptance or body positivity can lead to the normalization of obesity and overweight. They argue that this can lead to a societal acceptance of unhealthy lifestyle habits and can create a culture that promotes obesity as a positive attribute.
Discrimination: The movement has also been criticized for being discriminatory towards people who are not overweight or obese. Some people feel that the movement promotes the idea that only overweight or obese people can be happy with their bodies, which can lead to discrimination against people who are naturally thin or fit.
Misleading information: Some critics argue that the fat acceptance movement promotes misleading information about the relationship between weight and health. They argue that the movement's claims that people can be healthy at any size or that weight loss is not necessary for good health are not supported by scientific evidence.

I don't care if people want to be fat. What bothers me, is that the same people who want to be fat also want me to pay for their health insurance - universal healthcare. Fuk them fat delusional commies.
