Got to dry out the fat if you bought it from a source that was farmed / wet sealed.
If it’s been hanging and drying naturally after shooting, you are fine (farmed duck has much more fat like 5-10x more)

Grew up eating duck and goose. We were poor as fuk and hunted for most of our meat.
Both are very greasy and can have a bad taste depending on what it was eating, have never tried farmed duck
Enjoyed it as a kid and still enjoy it as an adult
