Much of Detroit is just blight nowadays. It isn't actually a dangerous hood. I've spent quite a but of time in super sketchy areas of Detroit and never had a single issue with anything.

I have been ripped off of the Southside of Chicago buying tickets from Craigslist though, so Southside wins.
