All MMO's need a mandatory Hardcore mode
Playing Wow classic hardcore mode (A mod keeps track of all the stuff) and it's so much more enjoyable. Every talent, every skill, every potions ACTUALLY means something now. No longer can you watch an entire season of Breaking bad while half ass leveling. Man, HC mode makes the game so much enjoyable. Not sure if anyone else is playing. Blizzard is attempting to come out with a HC server in the future. Not sure if it will be any good though.
[Dallas Cowboys][Dallas Mavericks][Texas Rangers][TCU*NCAA][DFW Crew]
[Law of Attraction Crew]
There are glowies on the misc now. Don't fall for the bait.

Can't speak for WOW, but i know when i heard that you still needed a subscription to play it, I didn't care what mode it had.
But nah im good lol unless you're grouping with people you know from level 1 onward, I'm not comfortable putting my lvl 45 char on the line in a boss fight and have to start from scratch cuz somebody got Disconected.
closest thing to a hard mode would be the way EQ did the penalty for death which was you were in 'debt' meaning you owe exp for the afterlife basically before you can start regaining exp for youself. but each time you level up and/or die the debt increases.

Classic is for the mentally ill and people who have zero real life commitments. Classic hardcore is the same with added streamer bait.
No halfway sane person is going to buy and pay monthly subs for a game where it takes north of 80 hours to reach max level just so you can kiss goodbye to all of that because someone dc'd or a hunter forgot to dismiss his pet.

I just started playing yesterday. I agree it is very fun. Makes every aspect of the game more interesting. Even low level quests can be intense if they involve, for example, going into a cave. I don't know how long I'll play, but I'm hooked for now. I'm only level 8, about 4 hours played, 1 close call.
