Worth Getting a ps5? 39k reps

Would describe my gaming habits as casual at best lol

Completely bypassed the ps4 era but am looking at maybe getting a ps5 god of war disc edition because I like the idea of having a uhd blu-ray player and enjoyed the god of war franchise on ps2/3 and from my understanding a ps5 can play most ps4 games so I can grab some ps4 games for cheap

My only fear is that alot of modern games I see previews for seem to rely more on cinematics rather than fun game play

just for reference my fav games growing up were jrpgs
enjoyed the god of war franchise
don't mind first person shooters

think I could find enough games to make it worth while?
any game suggestions that I could check trailers out for?

will rep

Absolutely. If you missed the PS4 era there's no question. There's gunna be alot to play even if you skip the overly cinematic style games.

Disc version all the way, it's a free 4k Blu ray player more or less.

Skip PS4 and get PS5, you can play anything you missed on the newer console.

Did good by bypassing the PS4, it was an overrated turd of a console and all of the highlight games from it are either on PC or free PS+ titles.

As for the PS5, it's alright I guess, as you're a fan of JRPG's and stuff like God of War you are probably among the target audience for it. There isn't much in the way of FPS though, but you still got the 3'rd party titles.

I had a similar experience. That's the problem with chasing after what's critically acclaimed and liked on the internet. Gaming is only enjoyable as a personal pursuit.

Im picking mine up later today. Same package as you, $50 off. Let's be real, it's as good as its going to get, certainly better than being an XBot. But video games are just going to get worse with all the clown world/feminist chit being forced into it. PS2/PS3 and even X360 was the glory days. Now everything is becoming lame and stale in society, including vidya games.

How do you claim to be a fan of JRPGs and not have a PS4/PS5 already?

This chit is a no brainer, OP.
