Minoxidil agemaxxxing. Don't do it (srs).

I don't really have a severe balding issue, but was using it to fill in my edges that have receded a bit in the last few years.

Tried minox foam 5% and was getting some solid gains over the past 4 months. However, I noticed that I was developing serious hollowing/creases and wrinkles under my eye area. Racoon status. I thought maybe this was just a placebo effect so I did some research, and it turns out this is a fairly common side effect. I look fkn 10 years older, which is depressing. I guess it's a blood pressure medication that's known for causing water retention and slows down collagen production.

It's not worth it brahs. Just save up the $$ for a transplant if you really want to go that route.

Sucks because it really does seem to work. I'm sure others on here can vouch for this phenomena.

But I went back on it, I am on dut+min and going to do this for 6 months and see if i get any regrowth and then going off the min and hope that the dut can keep the regrown hair.... because i dont like the eyebags min gives me.
Thankfully it does look like the effects are reversible once you stop.

Mirin the new regimen. Hope it works out brah. I heard some people take collagen pills to counter the effects, but im not sure if I'm brave enough to try again.

Never been on any of these a day in my life. All the men in my family have pristine hair even the elderly ones. Its amazing going through life knowing you will never need drugs or surgeries to have magnificent hair.

yeah brah that ain't even a side from oral minxodil at 5mg doses, you expect us to believe putting on your scalp did this where less than 2% gets absorbed systemically? jfl you always looked old with bad skin boyo , you just hyper aware of it now

there is even evidence minoxidil increases elastin in the skin, loss of elastin is what ages you the most 100x more then a few wrinkles

Never had this issue personally. I've been using it for about 3 years. Last night I caught up with a girl who I hadn't seen in years and she actually said "have you had botox? you look great!". But no, just a good skincare routine (no homo)

Just using minoxidil alone isn't enough anyway. You have to at least use the BIG 3 to get any real results Finasteride/Dutasteride, Minoxidil, and Microneedling/dermarolling/dermastamping. The Big 3 is really just the starting point. You need to throw the kitchen sink at the Norwood Reaper including things like Laser Helmets, Prescription 2% Keto Shampoo, biotin, vitamin D, fish oil, onion juice on the scalp, Saw Palmetto, Scalp Massages, Zinc, and many others and if that doesn't work, Platelet-rich plasma injections and hair transplants.

Holy ****. Strongest transformation ever. Is that a transplant?

Going bald isn’t an option.

Get on fin/dut, use nizoral daily for 10m, micro needle once weekly and apply minox 1x per day or it’s all over.

It's just a hairpiece, but it goes to show you just how important hair is in your self esteem, looks, confidence, and how the world treats you.

LOL @ taking meds and risking ur health for hair srs. fin and mino can get you great results but can also have some side effects- is it worth it? for me, the fear and thought of a dead dink as a result of fin is not worth it

For people who are afraid of side effects, they can micro dose with topical and try 0.025% 1ml topical finasteride or 0.0125% 2 ml topical finasteride.
This is roughly 0.25 mg of finasteride per day.

Topical Finasteride has less risk of side effects.

I use 2ml of 0.0125% topical finastered mixed with 5% Minoxidil liquid at night before going to sleep and 5% Minoxidil Foam in the morning. I've had no side effects at all since I started about 1 month ago.

I’ve been on fin for years and I can still bang my gal 2-3x a day boyo. But I’ll tell you what. If I didn’t have hair I couldn’t have pulled her lol
