I only watch strongman and skateboarding. I don't know if I either are really sports. As far as participating, I don't like doing anything.

Mountain biking is the best to participate. Easy, convenient, can do alone, or in a group, you get out to the woods, see nature/animals, get sun, improve your hand/eye coordination, cardiovascular fitness, and get an adrenaline rush all in the same sport.

Watch - Football
Play - Basketball

I played basketball and football while growing up, got awards for playing football in high-school and played Rugby for a D1 school in college.

Basketball is still the most fun (srs).
I wasn't built for it, but to this day, even shooting around alone is so much fun.

I don't watch the NBA anymore though.

Special mention goes to skateboarding. I was terrible when I skated, but I still absolutely LOVE watching skate videos.

I like watching football but for something to play it's basketball.
