If people dislike you for being yourself , should you change?
I tend to just be myself , do what I wasn’t and say what I want , but I find it puts people off , I don’t wanna be someone else but I’m wondering if it’s worth changing my personality
brb haven’t met one vaxcel who doesn’t get defensive or mad when you tell them you didn’t get it.
No “vax” for HIV after 40 years of research. No vax for cancer after 100 years of research. No vax for the common cold and yet a virus mysteriously appears and Within 12 months a “vax” is found by 4 pharma companies all within 1 week and we are mandated to take it ….

Fukk no. I'm just as big of an a$$hole IRL than I am on the misc, I say what I want and dont have much of a filter. Some people love it, some people hate it. Usually the people who hate it are the people you rather not have around you anyway, so it only benefits you in the end. I still call people f@gg0ts IRL, as it's a mental illness that shouldn't be coddled and call fatties whales to their face. (Ded fkn Srs)

I think my problem is I’ve got the look of someone who should be low status but I don’t put up with peoples sht so they can’t square that circle

At the end of the day, you're in it for yourself.
99% of scenarios, being liked or well received is optimal. You want positivity, not to feel unwanted in social settings, especially with family/friends/coworkers. Sometimes censoring yourself is required (don't swear or talk about certain biased subject matter to certain family for avoidance of conflict for example, let bygones be bygones). You'll find that certain people you can be more uncensored with - possibly due to knowing the rigidity of their minds, having similar biases and opinions on things, and those people might end up higher up in your social circle / top connections as they're more relatable and you feel free to be uncensored with them.
1% of scenarios, being disliked or controversial is optimal (relative to the cultural norm). Bad news is good news. Notoriety might be a part of your career or success. Doesn't apply to most people. Think Howard Stern, Paul brothers, edgy celebrities. Might appeal with radical/extreme-biased groups.
Aside from the above, there's also the consideration of attitude and behavior of public settings. Out in public, you're subject to completely unpredictable randomness, varying from the most politically minded and biased conservative/progressive, to someone who doesn't let politics or social issues live in their brains for more than a few minutes per year. As such, if you exhibit radical behaviors, you're subject to potentially radical reactions. This in itself makes you want to at least moderate your attitude and behaviors when exposed to the general public. Obviously being currently located at a hotspot for one bias reduces the volatility of what you're subject to when remaining uncensored in the context of the favor of that bias.
Last thing to consider for this is keeping your ego in check. Possessing too much ego, and you'll likely reek with narcissism, selfishness, traits that are largely undesirable no matter who you're associating with. Possessing too little ego indicates lack of self worth and possibly lack of confidence in who you are or what you are doing.
EDIT:
Wanted to add one more thing. If you feel like you are constantly needing to censor yourself, you might want to consider the people you're associating with. You can't control who your family is, so I think that short of closing connections with family or applying some distance, you've gotta accept who they are and adjust accordingly. Similar is said for coworkers to be honest. But you can pick your friends, and might be more inclined to close connections with those that give you this feeling of needing constant censoring. This includes the geographic level, being in a heavily liberal city/state, will make you feel the need to censor conservative opinions and behaviors - perhaps consider moving to a more conservative area in this case to improve your social dynamic in general. Applies for the opposite as well obviously (being liberal in a conservative city/state).

Live with intention and become the person you want to be.
Everyone has perspective to offer me. I know I lie to myself about myself so even if my worst enemy is talking ****, I listen.
Then I determine if I agree with them and need to make the change.
UsuallyI know if I feel offended I should explore it. I would only be offended if it were true, and I personally believed it was negative in nature. The fact someone else said it is not why I am offended, but my ego would like to blame them of course.
When that happens, I will work on making the changes for me, not for them. I would be grateful they brought it to my attention, beyond that, it has nothing to do with them.
I live for me.

You should try.
I'm pretty mean to my friends, constantly bullying them or making fun of them, I've tried to change but I can't.

Be careful with this. When I was a teen I had a hard time fitting in and noticed acting like myself would turn a lot of people off, so I basically suppressed my personality and added a filter to everything I said and did and it ruined my life. Now I'm just a boring ****git and I can't snap out of it it's so deeply engrained

It depends.
If you don't like who you are, others won't like you. You can feel when someone hates themselves.
If you like who you are, and others don't like you, then they can fuk off.

There is a difference between 'being yourself'. and having no self-control
(not saying you're doing this)
but I know some people who say whatever tf comes to their mind all under the belief that they're being themself but the truth they just have no discipline/control
