anyone eat (and enjoy) liver?

in b4 liverking nonsense

organ meats are nutrient dense proteins - but I just can't seem to pull the trigger to try them. I think I am assuming I will not like the texture of the meat.

anyone eat it and like it regularly that can tell me what the texture it like?

Cook it like a steak in the steak fat and butter that's left in the pan after cooking the steak. Season and salt it like a steak. Chop it up after and eat a few pieces every day over the next week.

Chicken liver is pretty good and the taste is not as strong as beef liver. Goose and duck liver pate is very good.

I like to buy chicken livers, hearts, and gizzards, pressure cook them, and stew them, it's good with rice and pinto beans.

not a fan of pate texture. Chicken livers are like bite sized, right? maybe I should start with them.

I used to.

Liver and onions was the special every Tuesday at a restaurant i worked at and was what I ate when on my break.

I've tried cooking it myself few times, but it wasn't the same and isn't something I would do again.

The onions are necessary to put on top and must be included in every bite to even out the dry texture.

Beef liver, btw.

Bite sized, tender but not slimy, and they have a much milder flavor.

Learn that recipe, you can substitute for any meat and it will come out incredible.

Love beef liver and onions with gravy. Eat it as often as I can and have since childhood. Kind of a dry texture. I can’t explain it but I enjoy it. Srs.

And it’s cheap as fuk buy it and try it out.

I toss mine in flour and pan fry it with some butter

Why the fuk would you eat liver from a modern production farm animal? You are eating a filter.

Srs, imagine all the heavy metals, PFAS, pesticides, antibiotics, and intermediary metabolites of all that you are ingesting.

I eat chicken livers from time to time and enjoy them. The texture can be grainy although cooking type changes this. I marinate them and roast them on flat skewers or grind up, mix with a stronger flavored meat like bison and lamb and also skewer similar to kefta kabab. It always comes out great. Use a good amount of seasoning and add things like shredded onion etc to change the texture and flavor.
I probably banged your mom.

Eat the whole animal like a real man.

The gizzard is tough but i love them weekly, the liver......... the teeth go right through and are mushy with a strange taste after 3 seconds.....no bueno.

Liver is good. Many people overcook it thinking they have to purify something they believe is inherently dirty.

Gizzards are my favorite, but you gotta cook them for a long time or pressure cook them.

Wheat flour, white flour, season it, fry it in canola oil 10 min a side, drain, add cajun seasoning and bbq sauce, spin it in a bowl and enjoy!
