That was the beginning stages of jogger culture joining the mainstream by the hand of the tiny hat gang and infecting western society.

The repercussions of the event are still felt to this day.

If you study the white poem Beowulf, it's a warrior style poetry. Rap is by no means black only. Blacks in the US have been made into warriors due to racism, but historically war visits all. And the language of those warriors is rap. Although death songs can also soar. Stress causes melodies to be found, because one becomes dreadfully aware of the sweetness of each moment as time is running out.
The little pampered cuties in the music industry are utterly fake. they steal from those who have been through the fire. Tupac stole his lyrics too, although he did see some **** in his time. He wasn't without talent, but like the others, he was propped up and was a puppet.

It can get to be repetitive, redundant etc.

I listened to rap for like half my life and it got boring.

I like it but stopped listening to new artists a while ago.

I listen to mostly any 2010-ish and earlier.

It's still good for working out, exercising, or just once in a while.

These days I prefer rock except for death/speed/black metal.

That **** is masturbating on instruments.

For the past week or so I've been exercising to Nu Metal like Korn, Deftones, SOAD, Mudvayne, Static X, Chevelle, Slipknot etc fffffuuuukkk😭😭😭

Liked it growing up. But got tired of it over the past few years. Its the same chit over and over again.

Money, hoes, drugs over a cookie cutter trap beat. Nobody is doing anything new or pushing boundaries

Now Im mostly into alternative/indie, kpop, rock, and movie/video game OST's

Tho I still love bumping some J.Cole when Im in my feels

It influences the black community prolly 100x more than white-music affects the white community.

I don't know why the black is so susceptible to rap lyrics, but it seems even 50yo black females live their life by some kind of "hood code'. also think its why you see black 50yo men acting like teenage gangbangers.

I mean none of em are rich but all bout dat lifestyle. its cuzza the music has a hypnotic effect on the black.

It's easy to hate modern radio rap. All the Drakes and ****, but there's a ton of great stuff out there if you wonder around for a while. Atmosphere, POS, Doomtree, Classified, and Aesop Rock. Hell, even Gooba by 6ix9ine is a banger.

Idk I like all types of music and listen to anything from country to future. I definitely see how people can hate it, but there's a lot to appreciate if you're musically inclined. I grew up on it listening to lupe fiasco, common, and early kanye but also some mainstream stuff.

Although newer rap is a step down from previous generations and ignorant I still blast it with no fks given. It's all about hedonism but fun to listen to and sing along with other people. Unfortunately misguided women or teens take it word for word so now it's culturally detrimental but if you grew up with values it shouldn't affect you too badly.

Some rappers leave it all on the beat and you can hear the passion behind what they're saying. But I'm a true hip-hop head, very rare for me not to know a song that I hear at someone else's place and go bar for bar or even make up some new chit on the spot.
Do not think that what is hard for you to master is humanly impossible; and if it is humanly possible, consider it to be within your reach.

Hip Hop is a great genre. Seems like past 2010ish, it isn't actually rap anymore...just pop music with rap verses. Mumble Rap and Drill are probably the two absolute worst genres of music I've ever heard, completely lacking in any soul or musicianship.

Meanwhile, what is even available for rock music? Foo Fighters and Ghost. Every now and again Metallica drops something. That's it! The rest remain underground, or used as tabloid fodder. (Vince Neil sharts pants!)

Mainstream culture has gone so deep into the sh!tter the past 20, 30 years. And no, it's not because I'm getting older, it's because the amount of options went from dozens or even hundreds of bands / artists to just a handful that get shoved down your throat for 30 years who all share the same song writing committee that's been writing 99% of pop hits since Britney Spears wasn't just a lobotomized stripper on Instagram.
