Do people unironically like death metal?

It's literally dogwater, with the exceptions of Death and like half a dozen other bands

I like Darkest Hour and Born of Osiris. Those are decent death metal bands. Going by their recordings and not them live.

Love the music, can't stand the culture.

Last time I went to a death metal concert i
2016, it felt the same as being the only white guy at a DMX concert in jersey

I like metal but thrash is as far as i'm willing to go in the genre. When i can no longer make out what they're saying, that's my cue to turn it off.

Metal music is cool, but that throat screaming in an automatic turn it off for me. I have no idea how people can listen to that audio vomit.

Carcass heart work is the only death metal album I listen to.

Like i cringe at some chit, but the nostalgia takes over, i only listen to classics though so theres that. Like for example angel of death i always cringe at the long ass fkn vocal in the beginning, i feel like everybody can hear that chit.
I could not listen to new heavy metal unironically so in a sense youre right OP.

Death metal/any metal tomato tamato, dont even @ me for that chit

Nah you're all probably just really, really, gay and soy.

With that said I will concede a lot of death metal is cliche, derivative, and lame garbage. Especially the modern stuff

I used to be a real metal head, and never liked that shyt. Of course what I consider "Death Metal" may not be accurate...to me "death metal" is the "grindcore" type shyt, and I've heard the genre is actually a lot broader than that so...idk.

I did kind of like Deicide though, oddly enough.

The music is one thing, but the fans are even worse.
