Taylor Swift has Atlanta fukd up....

Pretty much the whole city is shut down because of her. Radio stations playing back to back TS songs. Anyone who is anyone is at the concerts. Of course I'm here miscing with you guys. People have ticket and going to all 3 shows. Tags from other states and other counties all over the place. I don't even think that Elvis or Michael Jackson had this much obsession. Some are saying she might be the biggest legend in music ever.

1) very unlikely that elvis or michael jackson or the grateful dead had this demand that TS has....remember back then there was WAY less to do

2) tickets were way cheaper (or rather not wildly out of reach for most people) so even mildly interested, bored people would go just to get out of the house.

3) they likely couldn't sell 3 nights in a row in at stadiums if price was adjusted

4) Swift crosses many genres over a long period of time so you have teens and parents who listen to her albums

5) Media also pushes it on steroids with Swift Day etc.

typical misguided answer. just saying "trust me" is problematic unless your name is AI.

I'm not saying she's the best ever but I bet if you could use tangible metrics she would come out near the top over many more Elvis and MJ characters where there is a psychological bias.

Similar to how people discount Tom Cruise but if you look at his metrics, he is above and beyond the biggest "box office" draw of ALL TIME. maybe not the "best" actor but he is in a league of his own.

by pure numbers prolly the beatles and swift respectively.

A while back, surprisingly, a work colleague said he wanted to go see a show of hers in NJ I think? Cheapest tickets were 1200 or so (scalped, of course).
