do my eyes just suck? Maybe I need to watch them in slow motion to understand how much harder Goldberg's connected?

Sometimes things move too quickly and body language is too subtle for me to understand.

Are there other kicks for comparison that could explain the difference?

Hey Trips. Your eyes do suck.

Goldberg's kick was to the temple. Goldberg turned his head and his body so he wasn't even watching where he was kicking. He was just kicking as hard as he could wherever it landed.

HBK's kick was to the chin.

HBK doesn't even connect when he kicks. If he does it's a light tap to the chest.

Goldberg had to shoot on his opponents to make it look real. Not saying that the kick was intentional, but it was his philosophy that he didn't pull his moves as much as the usual guy. Michaels didn't need to do that. He was good at what he did.
