Do you remember this Mexican weathergirl?
Yanet Garcia first made headlines when a short clip of her forecasting the weather went viral on youtube.
She made headlines a few years later when Doug Martin, a.k.a. FaZe Censor (popular twitch streamer), used his social media popularity+ wealth to win her over into being his GF. I believe this guy was dating her for three years and then broke up with her. When asked why he called it quite, he initially said that he wanted to focus on gaming and being in a relationship was distracting him. He then got a lot of hate mail from a bunch of simps/white knight and made a follow up video basically saying, the real reason he dumped her was due to her getting greedy. In his words “Everything started to turn when I mentioned to her how much money can be made on YouTube…So when she understood how much money I was making on YouTube, she wanted to get a percentage of the videos I was making, and for me I didn’t feel comfortable with it”. Her reasoning for wanting % of the profits was from her belief that her presence in said videos had contributed to the viewership. After the break up she went on to date entrepreneur, Lewis Howes, within the same year, but they split in 2021.
Having left meteorology behind four years ago, she's now a full-time content creator (aka onlyfans content maker). She made the news recently by stripping down to her lingerie during the world cup in 2022.
