Transcending Mediocrity
I've been occupied with the idea of transcending averages and achieving excellence, and what this means for one's personal agency and point of view.
As we can see, it is possible for someone to surpass what is statistically average through hard work and struggle. If you take diet and exercise seriously, and you actually lift weights and put in the work, you will be able to surpass the strength, speed, and overall fitness of the average human being. You are still a human being, but you are no longer a normal or average human being. You have surpassed mediocrity, through struggle, and placed yourself into a smaller category of physically accomplished people.
These people, all of them, had to struggle to reach that level. You are stronger than if you just ate healthy and didn't lift at all. Well, we can extend this metaphor beyond strength:
1. Work ethic
2. Inner strength
3. Knowledge and learning
If you have the supreme work ethic among you, then you stand out, and you become a natural leader and success.
If you have the supreme inner strength among you, then you don't collapse like the rest, inspiring and leading others, and you become a natural leader and success.
If you have the supreme knowledge and learning on a certain subject, then you always have the best answer on the subject as the intellectual authority, which means you lead people's thoughts on the matter.
It is competence itself that leads to leadership, and it is excellence that leads to the highest level of competence.
Excellence can be achieved through hard work and struggle, yet privilege and cheating is not excellence.
Some thoughts on what it means to transcend mediocrity to share with other physically strong people.
Normal people give normal results. If you are absolutely jacked, you are not the average.

You are already a member by default, by being alive
But to ascend beyond it requires true struggle
