**Gardening 2023 mega-thread** - what are you growing this summer?
Summer is rapidly approaching and I was wondering what my gardening brahs are planning on growing this year? I spent a few hours cleaning up, trimming, and weeding all my main gardens spread around my large property today. I'm planning on specifically adding to my medicinal garden this year and growing all kinds of chamomile. Planted a few elderberry bushes last year that are coming back quite well after the long winter. All my berry bushes are also returning nicely. I've yet to contemplate my veg garden but I'll probably plant a diversity of vegetables like last year and the years before. Hops are going nuts already and my chinook plant is 3-4 feet already. We got a schitload of rain here lately so things are growing incredibly fast given that it's only early May.
What are you boyos growing? I managed to snap a shot of this plant that's already flowering. I forget it's name. Anyone know? I love the sharp contrast of blue on green.

Gardening is good for your soul. I highly recommend it even if you're just able to grow one plant on an apartment balcony.

Probably nothing.
Last year it was so hot and so dry. What didn't flat out die on me didn't produce anything until maybe late September/early October when the heat finally broke.
I planted a lot last year...ornamental, not just veggies. I would estimate about 2/3rds was killed either by heat and drought or by freezes.
ETA: I also really need to sell, so it isn't straight up discouragement alone.
