Asked this girl out -- what to do on date?

asked this girl out from a christians singles group. she's 30 and a special education teacher...not slooty acting or all over social media.

what to do on first date? pick her up (she lives 30 min away) buy flowers? was thinking take her to an italian restaurant near here and putt putt after but it's been a while since i did any real dating.

Mini golf sounds like a good first date idea. Lots of opportunity for kind of teasing banter and to get a sense of whether she's fun to do things with. I'd probably skip the flowers in these circumstances.

Select a date where there is constant oppurtunity for conversation, observation and joking. Avoid museums, movies, shows, ect. Dont trap yourselves indoors, stay outside and have a back up plan in case she cant do the activity or it sucks. Dont go to too nice of a resturante, dont make her think this is all in for you. A nice place, but not the nicest in town homie.

Mini golf makes sense, plus you can slip in some "handicap" jokes. Careful though, after a certain age things like mini golf arent as cute.

yeah dinner and movie was a first thought but then figured we would just be sitting in silence for 2 hours which would negate my talking ability.

Bro you're overthinking this. It's a first date, supposed to be casual, just talk and get to know her more. Maybe find some cafe or lunch spot and get some light food instead of the Italian restaurant, at least for now. Keep it short and light, no need to go all-out in hopes of leaving a great impression.
