Guys why do mass shootings grab our attention

-67 people die on average everyday
-38,000 people die in fatal car crashes

While 48,000 people died in USA by guns , however half of them were suicides . That leaves 24,000 people dead from gun violence.

All I am saying is if you look at it , less than 250 people dying a year to mass shootings doesn't make it a pandemic.

Why do news outlets present it as such ?

Or any I really being insensitive?

Because a majority of the time it’s some evil unhinged person shooting the innocence indiscriminately. Very inhumane. Like a virus of something beyond mental illness or a moment of madness for it to such a common occurrence.
