Lack of sustained eye contact = weak?

If someone is looking into your eyes during conversation for a sustained period and you look away, does that make you look weak and submissive?

It's not that deep. You're supposed to look at other things sometimes. Just staring at their eyes is weird. Just like staring at the ground is. Really, you're supposed to let you're eyes drift to their forehead and back down. Looking around from time to time just means you're aware of your surroundings.
