How long until you start losing muscle from inactivity? (srs)
My elbow issue flared up like crazy since yesterday so I stopped all exercise. It's pretty bad, I was afraid to even go for a walk because it bothers when it swings.
How long can I rest before I start losing muscle? Been cutting for like 6 weeks and would rather not turn into a blob after all that work...
(Sry for posting here, I get ignored in injury section)

Eat at maintenance and clean. Let your body recover and take some rest. You can go a month or two without too much loss. You can gain it all back in a whim. Dont worry.

It's surprisingly not that much. I haven't done any curls in years, but my triceps still show, even though they are not as pronounced. My chest got saggier, so now I have moobs, but I can still jiggle my pecs when flexing my muscles. Wasn't able to do that until I started lifting. I imagine a few weeks of training will be similar to 6 months of training when I began.

Realistically, like a few days. But if you're low BF it will not go away.

You will look smaller in the mirror after 2 days, but that is psychological.
After about 2 weeks you will lose some actual size as the localised glycogen is needed.
A lot of people took months off due to gyms being closed for covid and they will tell you that you get 95% of the way back a lot faster than you expect.

Screw nature; my body will do what I DAMN WELL tell it to do!
The only dangerous thing about an exercise is the person doing it.
They had the technology to rebuild me. They made me better, stronger, faster......

It takes a long time brah. srs. In the midst of it right now. Just make sure to at least stay active and eat well. Give it time and do some recovery work for it. Muscle memory is a amazing, and actually losing muscle mass doesn't happen over night.

Eat properly and it won't be an issue at all.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.
