Fidel Castro was a hero
He was the best man
Imagine the CIA tries to kill you 638 times simply because you gave your people healthcare and education and inspired poor people all over the world to fight for their rights and dignity...
just fkin lmao what a Chad
"One day the good Lord will take Fidel Castro away," said Mr. Bush, in response to a question from the audience, indirectly but obviously referring to the day when Castro will die and bring to an end the era that began with the revolution he led a generation ago.
"Now I understand why I survived the plans of Bush and the presidents who ordered my assassination: the Good Lord protected me." - Fidel Castro

And why would Cubans risk drowning, to escape his regime, if life was so great under his rule?

Why would Cuban plantation owners, imperial collaborators, and elites risk drowning to escape his rule? Gosh IDK. Maybe because he'd shoot their bitch asses? Also a lot of ordinary people want to live under freedom. We've had Cuba blockaded for many years.
Go see how many fled under Batista. Do you think they were better off? LOL
I love the whining and pearl clutching Dave. It's cute. One wonders how you ever made it as a cop if a few dead bodies scares you.

The Cuban exodus is the mass emigration of Cubans from the island of Cuba after the Cuban Revolution of 1959. Throughout the exodus, millions of Cubans from diverse social positions within Cuban society emigrated within various emigration waves, due to political repression and disillusionment with life in Cuba.

I have grown to to admire Fidel Castro to a certain extent and really question the American establishment narrative about him and the Cuban revolution. Op, check out some of Che Guevara's speeches too. Great stuff on imperialism.

last I read about Cuba, Cuban people were bravely protesting the government there. Lots of Cuban are flee communist Cuba for the freedoms found in Florida. 140,000 Cuban have left for America in the last few months. I guess all the "free health care" and "free education" Castro brought isn't worth much to the Cuban people.
"DeSantis condemned the Cuban regime as a 'crime against humanity.'"

It is interesting that Americans believe everything can be bought. Yet they weren't able to buy enough loyalty to kill Fidel. They can't pay enough people in China to kill Xi. They couldn't stop Putin. Perhaps not everything is for sale after all.
Men like Dave and the people he serves rely on the lie that all the great communist leaders like Lenin, Mao, Stalin, Castro, etc were purely driven by selfish gain and were in it all for money. But if that were the case, why would so many serve them?
People are driven by ideology. Not money. If money were all it took, we would just buy their loyalty.
