I love MJ but does anyone think he became a bit cringe over the years

Michael Jackson will always be the GOAT but does anyone feel like he lost his cool over the years and started appealing to autists, thus many of the fans being retards.

His dance moves were sleek and had a good flow than he started doing those robust moves with the constant crotch grabbing that his impersonators love to do. His outfits, he was ''weird cool'' in Bad and after that it became ''wtf''.

His songs were always great but he overdid the screaming, weird sounds and heehees in the 90's. Dangerous and History are still GOAT albums.

he went to a level that no artist/performer/musician ever needs to be at after thriller

feels like paul mccartney was the only one who got there and was able to get old gracefully(ish) and by his late 20's, he was already scaled down as far as his worldwide popularity

DK, there are many rabid MJ fans. I used to be a huge fan of the guy (still am), although I always felt he tried a bit too much after the 90's. Many people try to justify his ''History'' and ''Dangerous'' tour dance moves and style as cool and is usually his most copied look.

MJ was just trying hard to come up with new stuff and style but they kind of were cringe. His songs were always the bomb though.

Yes, especially now considering his biggest impersonator had over 40 prior arrests and was just killed by an alpha male.

Honestly, I never understood how Michael Jackson's act appealed to anyone other than women and gay men.

It's hard for artists who came up being weird and cool, or edgelords to make anything decent when they're old and rich

Only good song he did post the 1991 album was Stranger In Moscow-the rest was total garbage for the last 18 years of his life.

His style from Off the Wall and Thriller was great. With ''Bad'' he started to become a bit weird but the album was GOAT. Dangerous and History is where he truly started to appeal to autists, although his songs were still bangers. You just had to turn off the TV while listening to him and image it was the MJ from the 70's/ 80's

I feel the same way about Abe Lincoln. He's just not as cool as he once was back in 1862.
