Had some top notch CGI movies like Jurassic Park, Gladiator, Independence Day, Starship Troopers, The Patriot...all well worth the price to see in the theaters.
After that, the Star Wars and superhero movies came out and it all went to chit.

Horror Films:
In the Mouth of Madness
Event Horizon
Whispering Corridors
Memento Mori
Lost Highway
Sleepy Hollow
Wes Craven’s New Nightmare
Cure

The best horror films are from the 80s, but 90s has some decent ones.
