MAGA candidates were soundly defeated in the 2022 midterms.

Democrat groups funded MAGA candidates in the primaries so that they would be easier to beat in the general, and it worked LOL

Yeha, I think the GOP are a bunch of frauds, conmen, liars, and white collar criminals in a canoe heading for a waterfall. There are 2 major demographic trends driving this:


Firstly, I think much more of the population is moving to bigger cities and smaller areas are being increasingly gentrified. The US population is growing at a slower rate and cities grow whilst rural areas are diminishing. Georgie and Atlana swung left in 2020, and most major cities in the world seem to be liberal leaning. Cities are always more diverse and cosmopolitan than rural areas, so they'll naturally lean left.

Second, there's just more diversity in terms of demographics. Old white boomers are a huge chunk of the GOP electorate and those fuks are dying off. The minority population is rising and the boomer's descendants are increasingly liberal. Immigration is needed to counter low-fertility rates minorities and immigrants are huge left-leaning demogrpahics too. Look at California, formerly reddish, now solidly blue.




These trends are only going to continue, and without structural changes in the party the GOP are bound for extinction.

It's never going to go extinct, it's just going to evolve into what "enough" people agree with to stay competitive.

Small government used to be a major principle, they don't even pretend anymore. The shifts happen over years, but they are significant.

They’re obviously a strategic ally. It’s like Bill Maher said Israel are the most sane (he thinks the “only sane”) people in that region . They’re a democracy where none exist. And the Bible says god will bless those who bless Israel so since most Christian’s vote republican it makes sense the GOP supports them too. I definitely don’t have an issue with it if it can prevent us from world war.
