What the **** is democratic socialism srs

E.g. supposedly opposes a totalitarian one-party state so I assume it will have multiple parties

but then in economic terms it gets confusing - are they for 100% control of the economy via a "democratically" elected gov? or partially?

if it is full control of only certain aspects of the economy - how is it different to a fully free market capitalism country who regulate certain business heavily and/or have certain industries fully nationalized (e.g. healthcare in western Europe and Canada)

I think it is very difficult to achieve 100% control of the economy without a one party state to be honest. But since that is debatable I wont preach it.

However, if total socialist planning of the economy is not their jig, how is a free market capitalist Norway with its socialist healthcare system different to democratic socialism?

You can argue that it offers more "socialist" benefits than the USA but both are capitalist free market.

was talking to a girl at a bar once, she looked the type and quickly went into how capitalism is bad etc etc. Prodded her more and she said her life dream is to own some land and live in a community where everyone helps eachother, she wanted to garden, raise animals etc. I asked where would she live, in a house of course. Who would build the house? Well there would be carpenters etc, all kinds of people from all walks of life.

Imagine a socialist system where the resources will be distributed towards those who "are in need of resources the most". By in need, the more on the spectrum of the LGBTQWERTY, autism, retardation, mental illnesses, ect will determine your status.
