For Disney they can probably write off most if not all losses as a tax loss. They are marketing it to children & younger people-with the idea that the older generation will grumble, but just put up with it & suddenly they will have a whole new customer base-one lingerie firm recently did an advert of a buff drag guy in women's lingerie, but they only posted it to their IG account, not FB or Twitter, so clearly they are targeting it to a younger audience in many cases.
Clearly it really doesn't work for things like Gillette, Alcohol, Women's Clothing etc-as the companies have wiped vast amounts off their profits in very short periods of time. Hollywood probably is the best one for them, because Tinsel Town is insanely far left & support child rapist Polanski, BLM, the Alphabet Crew etc & so most of their customers will also. Also they do it like companies do for green credentials & other stuff-virtue signalling for kudos.
