Coming from someone that watched Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, and Mad Men

Yeah, it was really good. I'd equate it to The Wire.
Another one that rarely gets recognition is Zero Zero Zero. It's problem is that the first episode is meh, but after that very good show. Mr. Inbetween is also excellent.

We just finished that at work the other week. Was my first time seeing it and I was very impressed. Couldn’t get through more than two episodes of season two though.

It might not be the best ever but its close. The second season wasn't even that bad but seemed terrible in comparison. Season 3 is underrated too.

Season 1 was amazing, two of my favorite actors, big titties, great story, great pacing etc.
Season 2 was quite enjoyable as well, got a bit confusing in the middle and it kind of was all over the place but good show nevertheless.

"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

I agree, OP. I just saw it for the first time last month. Amazing story, acting, everything.
Crazy how fast it fell off in the second season, I couldn't even get through 3 episodes.
