Anybody ever been charged with assault? srs

Some drunk guy was in my store, filming me saying 'fk this guy' 'dont come to this store' etc etc

I asked him to leave and he just ignored me, and continued filming talking chit.

I lost my chit and gave him a shove out the door.

and he called the cops and wants to prosecute me, srs lol.

no serious injuries, the other guys back might have some red marks/scratches at most.

should i be worried?

If this isn't a troll thread, I don't see the major problem here. He's on your premises and failed to leave. So he is already trespassing.

But did he attempt to assault you, or threaten you? If so, self defence.

Even if he didn't, there's a principle of law which says something like 'the courts don't concern themselves with trifles'. Which means they don't even bother with extremely trivial things which this is. No one was even hurt, even if it is assault in a literal sense of the law.

The only argument he has to make is that you didn't call the police instead of shoving him.
Back off, Warchild.

Seriously.

Get a good lawyer asap and challenge the charges before it goes to court , you didn't do anything wrong.

isn't it possible that this case wouldn't even make it to court?

hes not injured so what can he sue me for? the ambulance actually came and checked him out, and i asked the emts after if he was injured and they said no.

I don't think this can get to a court.

Like I said, courts don't concern themselves with trifles. It's a legal maxim. The courts only have limited time and resources and in the US, I'd imagine they're already stuffed to the brim as is.

There's no bodily harm worthy of an assault charge, nor is there any tangible loss which would justify civil court. Remember what Trump tried to do in 2024? You can't just run to court because you feel butthurt about something and file frivolous lawsuits.

This will actually make you what's called a 'Vexatious Litigant' and that is something that can be punished.
Back off, Warchild.

What state? Any extremely liberal state (commiefornia, Washington, Oregon, Illinois) you’re probably fkd. Every other state will probably say you held your ground.
