Anyone Else Here Struggle With Getting Restful Sleep and Manage to Fix It (Srs)?
I'm having a lot of trouble getting restful sleep and am wondering if anyone else struggled with this and managed to fix it. I've done a lot of the things people recommend (i.e. no screens before bed, blackout curtains, etc.), but the problem is I always manage to wake up by 5 AM almost regardless of how late I sleep at night. The only time I "slept in" was when I was out till 4AM one night, but even then, I was wide awake by 8:30.
The only thing that has seemed to work so far is actually cutting back on lifting. I've noticed somehow that I get way worse sleep when I lift 5-6x a week (PPL crew) with high volume than I do when I do full body workouts 3x a week with lower volume (think powerlifting focus) and doing cardio on off days. I'm not sure if that's correlated or just dumb luck, but wondering if anyone has insights.

I started using edibles lol
Just a few gummies 5mg total
CBD indica mix
I never smoked weed or used edibles in the past cause it made me anxious and paranoid but I went to the dispensary and asked for something that would just make me relaxed and fall asleep and above is what they gave me … works great

If it seems (strongly) correlated to your lifting routine with a negative correlation (meaning more lifting leads to worse/less sleep), you may have some troubles with elevated cortisol levels and you may benefit (not just in terms of sleep, but other areas of life as well) from cutting back on stressors in your life. Stressors include things like lifting, not just things you find 'stressful'.

In order of importance:
No caffeine within 12 hrs of going to bed
Exercise earlier in the day every day
Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day (within reason)
Tape your mouth shut at night
Make your room as dark as possible
Have a comfortable bed/pillows
Do that for a month and note the difference. You don’t need supps or any other bullchit. As for sleeping longer, huberman the turbo nerd recommends getting afternoon light in your eyes, maybe add that in.

Okay I am going to share a very secret thing that has improvbed my sleep from night terrors to full nice sleep.
It's not cost free and easy but you will feel like a sleepy god if you add exercise to it, healthy food and regular waking up and going to bed:
Sauna Tent.
What you do is you either have a real sauna which i dont think you have cause most miscers dont have one. So you order a sauna tent on amazon.
Then what I do is around an hour before sleep I go into my sauna tent for 12-15 minutes and its super hot and there is a certain amount of suffering but well its a sauna.
Then I leave the sauna and i imediatly feel the energy sucked out of my body replaced with an inner want of rest and peace.
So I go to bed. Then usually I watch a tv show and after 40 minutes I'm super tired.
So this is it doing sauna an hour or even 15 minutes before sleep it will change your life.
Those sauna tents are not that expensive mine was 120 Euros. You can either get one with your head sticking out or one you can full sit into they are both great.
Thanks for reading and have a good night.

I use to struggle with falling asleep but alot of exercise has helped me alot in falling asleep. There's no better feeling than having sore legs and resting them at nightz.

Number one it’s probably blue light caused from led’s . Use blue blocker glasses when looking at a phone ,computer , tablet etc .
Throw all your led bulbs at home out and source some halogens if you can .
Number two don’t go on no fap . I usually fall asleep right after flapping
