Spent $1200 for a custom pair of cordovan leather Santoni’s. Huge waste of money.

Also paid about $450 for some crispi hunting boots, best footwear I’ve ever owned.

I am generally pretty cheap but not with shoes. Better shoes are simply better for a reason.

Not crazy about it but if I am say buying running shoes, I am getting a name brand, not some walmart knock offs.

Depends on what kind of shoe you're talking about. Dress shoes inherently cost more by default.

For every day sneakers I really try not to go above $100.
