An Overwhelming amount of people in North America are alcoholics.

It is interesting, Cigarette company’s can’t make commercials or promote there product.

But you can’t turn on the tv and watch a sporting event of any nature without an alcohol company trying to drive a product down your throat.

I’d rather meet 10 chain smokers on the road way then 10 alcoholics.

NGL been drinking a lot lately. I had a problem years ago, didnt drink for a few years (very sporadically). Then I went to a family function at an Airbnb, got twisted there and haven't looked back.

Even got whiskey dikk with the wife last night. Das not it. Gonna have to quit again. Been going through a bottle of tequila a week for like 5 straight weeks.

No bueno.

I have noticed a lot of people here report pretty serious substance abuse. A typical behaviour is trying to minimize the seriousness of your abuse and/or taking it in stride but when you're having a half dozen drinks daily and potentially more on the weekend, you have a drastic problem.
*Look at reflection in car window and flex every time crew*
*Use half the roll to wipe after a poo crew*
*Fart in the gym and blame rotten smell on faulty ventilation crew*
*Fart at home and blame it on the dog crew*

Alcoholism to this degree has only really become an occurrence in the last century or so. Even then, half the adults in the world have never drunk alcohol, and even more don’t drink with any regularity. So the misc rinsemaxxers are literally the pinnacle of degen cope humanity.

Yeah, but says who? Its not the best thing to be an alcoholic, but if someone drinks a chit ton without driving or causing problems, is it anything worse than overeating, smoking or most other unhealthy things most people do?

Half a dozen drinks a day on a any kind of regular basis definitely indicates a problem, but you're way underestimating how had it gets for a lot of regular alcohol drinkers if you think half a dozen daily is a high amount for an alchy. Most legit hardened alchies I know who drink beer have no issue crushing 10 - 12+ beers a day during the work weeks, then they'll crush a 36 - 48+ beers between Friday afternoon and Sunday evening before repeating the whole cycle over again.

Then at some point, the alcoholism gets so bad that you switch to almost exclusively hard liquor for the sake of efficiency. Next thing they know, those daily runs for 12 - 24 packs of beer turn into daily runs for 0.75's or 1.75's of whisky or vodka, and you're really up Shiiit Creek.

Medical science. Just because you don't get blasted off half a dozen drinks because you've driven your own tolerance through the roof, it's objectively bad for your health and is damaging your body slowly over time. That's just a fact.

He eventually got canned after pulling one too many no-call/no-shows where he didn't even check in with work to tell them he was late/not coming in for a good few hours into the work day, but it took him a long point to start burying himself that deep.
At my peak I could definitely do 24 per day srs

But staying there is almost impossible you can’t justify that kind of thing srs
