I had a Grand Marquis that I felt safe in, but I like my full size truck for that reason also.

Mother of one of my clients nearly got decapitated when a pick up truck crashed into her small sedan, the driver of the truck actually died, he drove over her car, nearly decapitating her, but himself flew out from the front windshield because he wasn’t seatbelted and hit a tree, she was taken to the hospital, where they were pulling out glass and pieces of the seatbelt and airbag out of her skin, it took her weeks to recover, After that, her husband bought her a big SUV lol

We had a guy here in his 30’s that had a terrible car accident and needed a cane to walk .
He was paranoid ever since the accident and bought a hummer thinking it would improve his odds in another accident.
He went on a trip with his dad to the states one day in the winter and they used the fathers car , and low and behold a car went out of control and slid into them on a corner where they had no choice but to have a head on ,as they were stuck against a guard rail .
He was in the hospital for months , and when he was released he died shortly after.
I heard it was some weird chit like a blood clot that was probably the result of the previous accidents.
Fark fate is a weird arse thing

That was part of the reason I got rid of my Nissan xterra. I had super heavy steel bumpers and a lift, felt like I was going to absolutely kill someone in a collision.
