I'd love to hear zoomers explain how they are conservative. They may think they are conservative because they aren't batchit liberals, despite having classic liberal views.

I can see this srs. Probably a reaction to the far left liberalism of our current society and being a conservative is now considered counter-culture. Also, young teenage boys are high test with raging hormones.

I could definitely see a rise in conservatism as a counterculture thing, but I'm surprised that it's already this drastic and that it didn't start recently. Roughly 2/3 of 18yo males self-identifying as conservatives seems pretty crazy to me, especially when you consider how many if their female counterparts view conservatives. The two genders also really seemed to bifurcate in 2013-15.

Because young men are starting to realize how phucked they are. Brb colleges are majority female now, med school graduates are majority female, law school graduates majority female etc etc.

And despite this, every university, grad school, and hiring corporate roles are purposely creating female quotas pushing in lesser pedigreed females into reserved slots. It's easy for a girl now to get a software eng role in FAANG or investment banking or accounting at a big 4.....so many diversity hiring programs catered to females.

Young men are looking at this...realizing they still have to be high earners to attract girls, have to register for the draft, see men getting slaughtered in Ukraine while women flee....and think....what's in this for me?

Maybe far right "fascists" really are right?
