What's your go to budget poverty meal when you ate at times in need?
Been poor at times in my life feel a lot of ppl are going thru rough times rn
Mine is tacos
Any clearance meat you can find or beans and rice
Tacos shells or tortillas
Can literally dress them up or down as much as your pocketbook allows
My budget tacos were usually ground beef in the crock pot with any random seasonings I had then top with hot sauce Cesar dressing any kind of greens ur good to go.

The classic. Realistically though I'd eat more eggs, and the cheapest hotdogs/hamburgers I could get, sometimes mixing it with macaroni and cheese instead of bread buns.
Last idea I was pretty good about making often when trying to save money is any kind of protein (usually chicken and/or eggs), mixed with white or brown rice, black beans, and some cheap sauce or seasoning.

I think as long as you don't go out to eat, most things would be budget friendly.
For me though, hot dogs. Chicken and rice. Spaghetti. Tuna salad on tostadas

1$ noodles that just needed hot water. The one with the packets of dried veggies, some kind of flavor powder or mix in.

Back when I was broke, I would buy like 50 pounds of chicken when it would go on sale. I'd buy in bulk and freeze it. I also hunted so always had a large stock pile of elk and deer. I make decent money now but still eat the same for the most part. A pound of elk and a big bowl of rice for dinner. For the gains.

$3 microwave meals from Aldi with a protein boost if need be, like a tin of tuna, whey in milk on the side etc.
I couldn't imagine beingthatpoor that I'd have to eat poverty-tier noodles. I did that during undergrad, never again.

White rice with scrambled eggs and diced hot links. Eggs are kind of expensive now but that meal altogether cost about $14 and would last me 2 weeks of lunch and dinner
if you ain't got no money, this is about to be a real short conversation, you dig?

Beans, rice and meat
Smoke your meats, usually smoked turkey or pork ends add tonsa flavor
Or get the smoked hocks and cook your beans in em
Lentils have the most protien
Dont forget the veggies
Food gets expensive when you cant/wont cook

In college I could make spaghetti with ground turkey for under $12 that would last me 3 - 4 days.

Only use bottled spring water
I'd wager tap water is worse than noodles in most places
I'll also have whey ,Oats, nuts in blender once or twice
Moderation my man
