It’s a waste of our short time on earth. 9-5 office workers are largely meaningless empty shells, unfulfilled and contribute virtually nothing to society. Some of us are intelligent, talented people, however it’s all wasted on nonsense.
I’m not depressed, I actually fkin love life and I feel thankful every single day to be breathing, but I experience depressive symptoms and constant defeatist thoughts due to being trapped in the rat race. I know being alive is such a gift. Why does it have to be spent in misery?

The only thing I liked about 9-5 was being able to get in the gym at 4 am, however the 3:30-12 shift was the sweet spot for workplace sex.

I think I’m going to fall into the same trap that everyone else does. Rot at a 9-5 for 40 years, retire with illnesses from the stress and die shortly after. Never enjoying this indescribably beautiful gift we call life.

-Low enough living expenses where you can get by working part time. If you had a paid off house, all you'd have to worry about would be property tax, food, & utilities. Healthcare would be hard to come by i think.
WFH is about 50% escape from the Matrix. Some folks have it mastered and work overseas without telling the company.

There is literally nothing worse than having to be somewhere at a certain time daily, and forced to stay there for a defined period of time even if you have nothing to do. That's why working for yourself is goat... you only work when you have to and you're way more productive because you don't have to hang around when you're done... you just go home, and also get paid way more

Unless you want to be a broke self-employer
You have to work 12hours+ days
6-7days a week
And you have to stick around to clean up after those 12+hours are done

You get the feeling of progress + the feeling of having the option to say ''**** it'' for an hour and go eat some bagels without explaining it to your supervisor like a retard.
