Good Tidings

A miscer made a thread earlier today about despair, about giving up the life he has been given.

It got me thinking. I have been there, too. And I'm not immune to being there again.

When you find yourself walking in the valley of the shadow of death, keep moving, do no fret. You cannot cast a shadow without a light, so it is because of the shadow that we know there is a light on the other side of this thing.

It is not a harbinger of doom. It is a herald of good tidings, even if you cannot see it as such because of the horrors that haunt your mind.

Whatever you do, do not stop. This is the path to your salvation.

Cheers brahs.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.
