Surgery tomorrow boyos

Getting the knee fixed tomorrow. Gonna be an osteochondral allograft. No weight bearing for 4-6 weeks and then therapy for 4-6 weeks after that. Probably not gonna be miscing as much since I'll be working from home for a while.

Bummer. I figure if I keep playing basketball, eventually I'll be in the same boat. What do you figure, maybe 6-9 months to play ball again? Or are you now retired?

If you've never had surgery -

Move as much as you can
Do your therapy
Get off the pain meds as fast as possible
Realize that some of the tightness is the stitches and you will feel better after they come out

Good luck mang.

Playing basketball. I was jogging to go get a ball that went out of bounds and slipped on a wet spot on the court lol. Freak accident. I had just hit a sick Euro step the offensive play before that

That timeframe sounds about right. I'm not retiring yet. I hope I'll be back for basketball in the fall/winter but know I will be by the time softball season rolls back around

Good luck with operation and return to sport.

I've had 2 full knee reconstructions for torn ACLs. Know the feeling.

"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

Take some stool softeners (dead fkn srs). You might get constipated. If you donโ€™t chit for a couple days, take laxatives.
