Home gym bros
For you all that have a home gym what equipment do you have or recommend?
So far we have a simple flat bench in the house with 10 to 50lb dumbells.
We have a 12x24 storage building we are converting into a gym.
I have a power rack with overhead pull up bar.
2 barbells
Curl bar
6 45s
4 25s
10s and 5s
We have a treadmill that needs to be upgraded..
We have resistant bands
Dip attachment for rack.
any other ideas.

You have all the essentials really.
I have a rack, rogue incline bench, power blocks, a couple kettlebells.
I like doing back on machines like lat pulldowns and stuff, but the nice lat pull down and row machines are pretty pricey and take up a lot of space.

I have a power rack, bench, upright bench, numerous bars, bands, 45 degree back extension, sissy squat, seated calf raise, a CII erg and a Rogue bike
Used to have a GHD and reverse hyper and Versaclimber but they weren't worth it
Want a curved treadmill, a ski erg, a stairmill and a CII bike erg after we move

Honestly you are pretty much there. If you have the space, I’d keep the old treadmill and use it for incline walking / rucking.
So basically just need a piece of cardio equipment you enjoy. I have all of the following in my home gym, and here are my basic thoughts…..
Treadmills can be gotten all the time for free with basically zero use. I don’t like running on them, but many do and enjoy it. I max the incline out on ours, throw on my plate carrier, and watch movies / play video games / work on laptop / etc. Even made a flat shelf on it to hold my iPad / laptop. Incline walking / rucking is GOAT for LISS in my experience.
Hard to argue with Concept 2 Rower as the GOAT cardio piece for under $1000, and takes up next to no space when stood up not in use. Great full body workout, lower impact, and easy to use for long distance / intervals / sprints.
Spin bikes can be had for nothing off marketplace / Craigslist, and I enjoy them for mindless cardio while watching a movie. Low impact, tons of free classes on YouTube if that’s your thing, and nice they are hands free. My wife really enjoys our Echelon bike, and their monthly subscription is relatively cheap compared to Peloton.
Curved treadmills are spendy, but phenomenal. I hate distance running, and what it does to my ankles / knees / hips / back. But on my Air Assault Runner I have done hour long runs wearing my plate carrier, and joints all feel fine. They are also fantastic for all kinds of intervals.
Airdyne / assault bikes are good for intervals, but am not a fan of them in general. I gave mine to my bjj / wrestling gym. There are better / more versatile / cheaper options out there.
Have to admit tho, NOTHING gets my sweating more than our stair mill. Also good for watching a movie / video games / hands free. Just don’t be like the ****s at gyms who hold the handrails. Downside is they are big / heavy / expensive. It’s my wife’s favorite.

Here’s mine in its current state. It’s always a work in progress, but I’m somewhat limited with space, so I’ll add whatever I can find that’s space efficient.
-Basic Rack (squat/bench, 315# in plates)
-Kettlebells (25/35/50/adjustable bowflex bell)
-Macebells (5/15)
-Twist/lock DB’s up to 25#
-bands
-Ab roller
-pull-up bar
-ez bar
May also get some jump rope also for easy cardio without leaving the garage

I've got a bunch of stuff in mine, most of which I barely use and it just takes up space.
If I could do it again:
1. Half Cage + Bench for basically all barbell compounds
2. Adjustable dumbbells
3. Duel Cable Machine
4. Weight plates to your desired amount
That's more than enough for almost anything you'd need to do. Do yourself a favour and skip anything cardio related unless your knees are busted and you need a concept2. Plenty of equipment free cardio options available.
If you're on a tight budget you could just skip the dumbbells as you can do most things with just barbell compounds and cables no problem
