Pretty big move for the MLS because Messi isn't completely over the hill like other stars that have gone to the MLS or desert sands. If he's motivated and manages to reach just 80% of his peak level he should completely steamroll the entire league.

i wonder how much this will move the needle for viewership, especially when it comes to america. like will him being in the mls bring in hundred of thousands of new soccer fans? millions?

i doubt that personally, but hopefully am wrong. will probably help the soccer scene a lot in miami though
