Gender affirming care works

j/k. They're more lonely and depressed than would-be transformers who don't get it, per a peer reviewed European study.

https://zerohedge.com/medical/gender...epressed-study

"The head of a facility that carries out so-called “gender-affirming care” has published a study confirming that transgender surgeries do not improve mental health and make people feel lonelier than those who avoided surgical intervention altogether."

Whelp there goes that fake, money grab talking point by the political Left.

When something doesn’t make sense, e.g forcing people to vax even though it’s at no risk to them (under 30) and they already had covid. Or in the case of some countries, forced to wear face shields outdoors.

Follow the money.

It doesn't matter. Even if the study said that the the post-transformers improved their "mental health" I wouldn't care.

It is medical malpractice and no one can convince me otherwise.

There are no "facts, data, studies, or expert testimony" that can convince me that pumping someone with the opposite hormones, stopping puberty, cutting of their dinks, attaching a fake dink etc is proper medical treatment.

Sometimes you have to cut out the academic BS and just say "NO, that is wrong."

Imagine if you wanted to see whether a very complex heart surgery improved heart function. Would you compare a random group of heart patients who had had the operation, to a random group of heart patients who hadn't, at the same point in time?

Or would you compare the same individuals, before and after they had the operation?

This is a cross sectional study, which is the former. It can't tell you whether any medical intervention is successful because it doesn't study people before and after they had the intervention. If you did this with heart surgery, you'd probably find worse heart functioning in the surgery group, because they are the most severe cases. But it doesn't mean those individuals did not improve.

So that's why you have longitudinal studies, like RCTs or cohort studies.

This is pretty basic medical research 101 stuff. Lol @ zerohedge. They are worse at medicine than they are at finance, which is saying something.

Well you're in even better luck since "gender-affirming care" worsens outcomes. It's more ammo against the army of activists with their marching orders and cultural norms bending insanity.

That is not what the paper studied, nor what it is even capable of showing. Learn the basics of how medical research works.

Surgery is also a minority of trans people. It doesn't encompass all of gender affirming care.

Idk. There’s no point in discussing this stuff with “activists”. All everyone says is “show me the data, facts, and statistics” then you show them and they tell you’re data is wrong and you should look at their studies. And it just goes round and round.

If you need a study to tell you that chopping your dink off and pumping yourself with the wrong hormones isnt going to make your life better, you never had a chance anyways

Let's remember this when you've cited cross sectional studies to prove a point. Bad because it doesn't align with your hoped outcome in this specific case, but they're good when they do align with narrative you agree you already have your mind made up about.

The results of the study don't surprise me since if left untouched close to 90% of teens who think they're trans accept their bodies in their 20s, with most of them just ending up gay/lesbian. Most of what is on Zerohedge is just sharing links from other places, not original content. As is the case with this study.

Ok. Do you think removing the penis from a person who was born a male because that person believes that they are really a female…

A) should a proper medical treatment
B) actually makes that person a female now

Ahh, ok. Gender affirming surgery on average leads to worse outcomes than no surgery at all. Happy now?

I think we're all aware most trans people just say they feel that way and do nothing about it beyond maybe cross dressing. But the surgeries are massive, growth $$booming$$ business, which really need more discernment. This isn't the only study of its kind also. European countries that were pushing a lot of the surgeries are no longer doing so specifically because of the outcomes leaving transitioned people no better off than before.

Scubastevo :-What percentage of women have STDs? (serious) If I just wanted to go bareback with any girl that I could get with, what are my chances of ending up bed ridden with STDs?

Please be fully gay inclusive. One of my babies is gay and the other one is trans. When my trans baby reaches 3, we are going to do the surgery thing.

We know they are gay and trans because they love pink Jello. Don't even try to argue with me.

Nope, this is literally research 101 stuff. Which you should know the basics of if you're going to quote a paper to try and make a point.

And the second point is wildly untrue. When you look at people who actually fit medical criteria for gender dysphoria most remain trans through their life. And rates of regret post surgery are low - lot's of data on that too.

There's plenty more we need to learn in this field, but the conservative pray the gay away approach has never and will never work. It didn't work for homosexuality and it didn't work for gender dysphoria. You're a few decades behind, but you'll get there

Haha. Yeah I saw the story of a mom in the beginning of transitioning her kid, saying she knew her kid was trans because they loved a certain candy as a toddler. Which means she was pushing being trans on the kid since they were still in diapers/potty training.

Nope it doesn't say that in the slightest. Any more so than triple bypass patients having worse cardiac markers than hypertension patients is proof that bypass surgeries don't work. It's that stupid.

You're also ignoring that most gender affirming care does not involve surgery at all.

This is not it, bro.

as i tell others, I feel badly for those that feel they are trapped in the wrong body. I wish the health care field had better ideas and treatments to help improve the lives of these people.

I didn't read the article but the mention of the study and results don't surprise me. I believe Europe has come to a similar conclusion, that trans gender cosmetic surgery and drug treatments are not beneficial for a good many. Here in the US I think the medical field is over promising what they can do to change the sex of a person. As some have posted, it is a big money maker though for the medical field. For that I'd be surprised if the push for removing sex organs and taking sex hormones didn't continue.

Hope too that a better solution can be found for woman's sports. It isn't fair to have biological men competing in female sports.

Gender affirming care does work when you affirm their actual real gender, which is that of their biological sex.

Are studies really necessary to tell you that cutting off your penis or breasts is not good for you?

People pushing and defending this chit are just straight up evil personified.

Enjoy hell. We all deserve it, but you deserve it more.
Isaiah 45:22-23. Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

Most trans on the male side are Autogynephiles.

Ask yourself why the media never discusses this phenomena when it describes the experiences of the majority of males who transition

wut? I was making fun of your hypocrisy, using what suits your bias and pretending otherwise. Interdasting that you're trying to lecture when your reading comprehension is such that you're reading things I didn't say. My second point about trans who are left alone coming to terms with their bodies and accepting them has nothing to do with what you mentioned about trans regret. And I'm atheist. I'm not sure if you're a half tard or just have a really creative imagination about what you read. lolz
