If the President/King/Ruler is a benevolent man of courage, honesty, and dignity, and puts the health of his nation and people above all else, then yes, the act of imprisoning political oppositions, parasites, evildoers, is based as fukk.

Is OP suggesting that presidential contenders should be able to do whatever they want indiscriminately?

One could very well argue that a normal person would be locked up for life having classified docs like Trump did. In fact, had he returned them, not lied, not obstructed the DOJ, no charges would have been filed.

I would suggest that Trump was treated way way better than any normal citizen would have been.
