Transformers: Ries of the Beasts

Saw this movie earlier today and it is by far the best of the bunch. It helps that Michael Bay didn't direct this movie.

It also helped that it took place in the 90s and the music is awesome. I miss the 90s.

Have you see Megan Fox recently? She's had numerous plastic surgeries and has turned into a creepy skeletor like Angelina Jolie. She's now got that very artificial "hollywood" look to her. What you're remembering is the way she looked from the first Transformers movie when she was young and had natural glow.

As for Rise of the Beasts, I felt like I should have liked it, but it just felt so empty...like something was missing I couldn't quite put my finger on it. Also, the misc is not going to like that there is no white male lead character. The human characters were yet again annoying and got in the way and were only used because "they're small" or because the transformers didn't want to be seen...but when the villains arrived they'd fight and throw cars at eachother and run around on rooftops defeating the whole purpose of being "stealthy"

and what is this, like, the 6th film in the franchise? Everytime it seems like its a reboot/origin story.

The human element is always shoe-horned in these movies. Noone cares about them, and post credit teaser:

with GI Joe in the same universe which makes little to no sense.


I did like that Optimus Prime actually looked like OG Optimus Prime and not some edgy 21st century redesign.

Saw it opening night. Action was good, but the story really sucked. Very anti-climatic. I won't spoil anything, but man.. the story really sucked.

So no slow mo fight scenes with a bazillion stupid explosions or camera shots with sun glare?

I thought it was just okay.

It did it's job of being a live action episode.

Nothing special about it.

- hero shots (Camera pans up)

- over saturated colors
- backgrounds in each shot are always busy. A lot of things happen in the background
