misc IQ test (HIGH IQ ONLY)

Comrade Stalin is lining up Kulaks (like Anachron's grandpa) and nazis and making them face the wall. Suppose there are 5 Kulaks, and suppose the nazis are lined up such that the number of deplorables with a right hand neighbor in a different group from them is the same as the number with a right hand neighbor in the same group for them. For example, a lineup of the form KKNNNKKNK satisfies this, with 4 deplorables having right hand neighbors from the same group as them and 4 having different. Let's assume all nazis and Kulaks are each indistinguishable (Every nazi is exactly the same, and so is every Kulak.) since Kulaks are equally unfit for life, and so are nazis. Find the maximum number of deplorables that can be executed such that this condition is satisfied, and then count the number of different ways we can arrange the bastards (assuming we line up the max number) before we gun them down and watch their lifeless corpses slump against the wall.

Here is the solution:

We maximize the number of deplorables by maximizing the number of available nazis to be executed. So this would occur if we lined them up alternating as follows:

NKNKNKNKNKN

This configuration has 10 different pairs and 0 same pairs. So we must insert 10 nazis into the execution line.

N_KN_KN_KN_KN_K_N

We can insert nazis into any of the dividing gaps below to create same pairs. Since all nazis are identically retarded, we can count this as 10+6-1 choose 6-1 = 3003 ways to execute the 21 deplorables with the neighbor condition satisfied.
