Imagine playing poker at a casino all night

Generating the casino thousands of dollars in rake that they profit from.

Then cashing out your chips later in the night, you have $1999 chips, and they say "Do you have $1 on you, so we can give you $2000."

You check your pockets, and you have 5, 20, 50, 100 dollar notes, but not 1 dollar notes.

They literally make you wait for a moment before reluctantly saying "Ugh, never mind, we'll cash out your chips for $2,000."

And then they say

The fking audacity.

"Just make sure to give us the $1 next time you stop by."

You fking what mate.

Casinos are some of the best businesses ever invented. Print money all day, every day.

Blows my mind Trump figured out how to completely fail to attract gamblers.

Can’t bring myself to play cards anymore. The thought of living my life at a card table has lost all its appeal.

It's the most depressing thing ever after a while.

Even playing online.... You feel like the hedge fund manager in SOUL.

I've never known a casino that will just give you $1.... If you're casing out $1,999 of chips, then $1,999 is all you will get and not $1 more....

I used to be a regular poker player at Commerce Casino. LOVED playing with all those degenerates and swapping weird stories. But ever since the scamdemic, the casino rakes so much of the pot that it's not even fun to play anymore....

Now, I prefer to play baccarrat with all those degenerate Golden Bulls.... LOVE hearing a crowd of Golden Bulls cheer whenever they hit a Dragon.....
Everything I post is satire.

It really is. I used to play professionally (only source of income), it was such a waste of my prime years. Wouldn't recommend anyone ever gamble for any amount of money, it's best to stay away entirely.

I've been banned from several games for either "winning too much" or "playing too tight"

It's all ****ing bull****, and almost everyone in the gambling world is a total scumbag. Card counting is a blackjack thing though, not poker.

It isn't really gambling as much as just being a human robot, doing an activity repeatedly.... without any inspiring element what-so-ever. Having a good weekend was cool, but what a drain overall.

Sort of the way a lot of things are when you excel at something and know what actions to take

But a lot of poker players are stupid. I mean, they can be theoretically sound, know optimal plays... but literally ignore tells or reads that a player may have. And just lack any creativity to pull the correct trigger when it's obvious they should... but don't, because it's not 'theoretically sound'. Meanwhile they're players against players that have no concept of perfect play, yet they themselves play such a style, and in doing so are losing literally 50k+ per year by playing that way. Not even an exgarraration.

tl;dr

Some smart, good players, are great at the game... but also so fking bad at the game.

I don’t play but one of my best friends is pretty good. He’s at the World Series right now and just took a small tournament.

Anyways, poker players always keep their stacks at even denominations. Would never cash out with 1,999.

Whenever we’re at the blackjack table the dealers immediately know my friend plays cards by the way he plays with his chips, makes his bets, and plays while keeping track of how many hands he has left while not being left with an uneven amount.

Always cashes out in even amounts too.

He told me he basically put himself through college playing at Hollywood park and commerce. Said it was easy money taking money from the degens betting this week’s salary at the dildo factory just to go home with nothing.
