My girlfriend is moving in with me and mama and papa zheng

So her apartment was sold and she was looking for a new place to stay so I suggested moving in with me.

She has offered $600 a month for rent, I said $200 and we agreed on $400.

Her room right beside mine:

Our place is a bit far north in the city so I will help her out when I'm not working, other times she will take the transit for work.

Lol this is a new adventure for the Zheng Clan

You would think that, but it's actually better for relationships. Gives each one more privacy and easier to sleep. Believe it or not a lot of relationships fail because one person or both feel suffocated/can't get good night sleep.

Now that doesn't mean they can't sleep together in the same bed if they want.

It's actually the ideal situation. In Arab houses each wife gets her own room. And Muslim chads just rotate them.

Yea but charging less for rent makes both parties more agreeable to any possible issues in the future.

Unless its a daughter and she brings home a White guy they like. Then they practically try and push her out the door into your bed.

In before his family starts liking her more than him and she uses that against him. It will be him against everyone. He will eventually have to move out and she will stay there for free.

Its how asians are able to accumlate wealth and acquire old money status, while white ppl remain brokies

There is no wealth transfer when every generation has to start from scratch

Kicking your kids out is mostly a degen western thing, most of the world is not like that

OP isnt 18 tho, hes closing on 30. A man having his independence and own space is natural and honestly highly recommended. If you cant afford to live in your own by 30 or you decide to compromise your privacy and life just to "accumulate" wealth, id say you are making some bad decisions.

Bringing your GF to your parents home is also another bad decision lol. Honestly i guess im just glad OP posted somthing different this time other than his physique, i was getting worried.
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

I wasn't really speaking on OP's situation specifically, more addressing the thinking that ppl that live with their parents are automatically losers. Its normal for many ppl of different cultures to live with their parents till they get married.

Yea I prefer having my own space aswell. But if you're born in the west you're conditioned to be individualistic as possible. The east is more collective and many don't have those same hang ups. Its a cultural thing

That's not uncommon with asians, esp with rents being at the current ridiculous rate.

Oh yeah for sure. Kicking your kids out at 18 and leaving them to themselves is retarded as fuk lol. Id say by 26-27 years old you should definitely have your space tho, no excuses.

Not sure the argument, but yeah a lot of Asians (and other relative newcomers to the US) live this way. Yes, you accumulate more wealth, but at what cost? Who cares if you have more money under your mattress if you don't have anything to show for it? Imagine never being out from under your parents roof. My parents are great, and when they get old enough to need it, I'll gladly let them move in with me, but I've been on my own for decades. I could not have lived the same life under their roof.

Many new Asian families will have a nice house, but inside it is empty and looks like a teenager decorated it (random items and sparsely decorated). Kitchen is usually a packed mess, with rice and other cooking supplies packed into every closet near the kitchen. Basically they don't want to spend money on furniture or decoration and just sort of pile stuff up (not like hording, just things just sit out in random places).

I understand first gen ones that living in cramped houses and not doing anything but work is still better than what they came from (and it gives them money to send the kids to good school), but that's not the case here. Terry is just not capable or willing to better himself and therefore his parents sacrifices will be for nothing. When they pass, he will still be poor, and probably have to sell the house at some point.
