I think Nikes made my feet flat
I was looking at old pics with the fam and say a picture of my feet when I was a kid. I had a really high arch (what I think looks normal).
Now my feet are basically flat.
I’ve worn Nikes basically my whole life and I realized that they basically have no arch support.
Any way to get my sweet beautiful arches back?

There is an unspoken thing, we are iron brothers and sisters, we are to support each other and...It is our duty to support our brothers and sisters in the iron game!

I had that issue as well (mine probably due to skateboarding). As an adult, my feet tend to feel best in a CrossFit/trainer type of shoe. Like Reebok Nano, nobull, TYR etc
There is something about them I noticed that after wearing a pair all day and then taking them off it’s like they gave me an arch. Something about the way the silhouette aprons.
Another key is to walk barefoot and pay attention to how you are walking. Don’t walk flat footed (collapsing your arch) with your knees pointing inward. Walk with your knees pointed out a little and only let the balls of your feet, heels and toes touch the ground.
After experimenting with this for about 1-2 years, I’ve got a fairly decent arch back.
Cliffs:
Wear CrossFit/cross trainers and walk barefoot

Ever since I messed up my meniscus about 7 years ago I discovered that shoes with a cushy sole really inflames my knee. Been sticking to flat soles as best as possible since then and noticed a world of improvement. It also forces you to think about your gait more. And while not perfect, better than ever. I really have to concentrate on flexing the foot, which I think helps with strengthening the arches.

I try to be more cognizant of how I walk to not walk on my arch. But I think I gotta bite the bullet and get some better arch support too.
ASICS and new balance are so nerdy tho
