How long for hunger to normalize after diet/cut?

Hit goal weight last week and went to maintenance calories for my new body weight. 1 week in, the hunger is BROOTAL. Like worse than during the diet itself.

Intellectually, I know what's happening. My body wants me to re-fill it and rubber band itself back to my old weight. Homeostasis chit. But how long do I have to stay hungry at maintenance before my appetite adjusts to this new weight?

At a guess, when you upped your calories, you upped your carbs, hence the increased hunger.

Out of 1800 maintenance cals, I had 1500 today in chicken thighs. Still want to die.

Your maintenance is 1800? What are you a 90 pound female? No wonder you’re hungry.

this is one thing you don't have to worry about with PSMF. I'm down 12lbs in 34 days, no issues with hunger coming off of it.

You should never be hungry. You should full around with typical tricks like reducing carbs, even all the way to zero, upping protein, or upping fat, increasing water, greens, supplements that knock out appetite, and of course IF.

What else did you eat? Taking up 85% of your cals with chicken doesn't sound like a great move. Why do you need 210g of protein if you don't lift and weigh under 150lbs?

I'm thinking give yourself at least some carbs and definitely stock up on calorically sparse fruits and vegetables to satiate yourself.

That's about 2 1/2 lbs of chicken thighs.

I'm guessing that you didn't just eat 2 1/2 lbs of plain chicken thighs and there was some kind of condiment involved.

If you went from cutting to relaxing the calories to maintance and put something like BBQ sauce on the chicken, the sugar in the BBQ sauce will fk with your hunger like crazy.

Marinated those fukkers in a can of zero calorie cola and poured some Frank's Red Hot on top.

Lol

You already know he has metabolic syndrome aka early prediabetus because he said the word “hungry” . The worst thing he can do is add carbs. He will absolutely eat the entire fridge that night. He will go to dominos at 3 am and eat everything in the store.

You can’t use sweeteners, brain doesn’t care if it has zero calories, it’s sweet = you will be hungry.

^^^ this

Often adding cardio doesn’t make you as hungry as cutting that same amount of calories from your diet that the cardio would have burned.

If it's not carbs, the next most likely culprit is stress.

Stress -> cortisol -> insulin -> hunger.

Duly noted. It's time to green tea maxx.

Based and steakpilled.
