OP, I always liked how those new edges looked, too bad they came with that boat anchor 2v, but you have fixed that problem. Now you just need some boost.

This is my current ride, but got a buyer coming to pick it up tomorrow or Saturday.

2014 SS

D1sc procharger
Cam
Fuel system
FBO
Etc, etc, etc

Makes 750 rwhp on e85, ran a best of 10.7x @ 132 with a garbage 60'.

Love your GT. I'm in the process of Coyote swapping a friend's 2000 GT he bought for his dad who has since passed away. I pulled the stock 4.6, gutted the interior, and he had it fully painted so it's going to look brand new when finished. I'm using almost exactly the mods that you are- Moroso oil pan, BBK headers, etc etc.

On the topic of the thread-

2021 Ultima RS
-Chevy LT5 Crate engine
-WeaponX Stage 3 cam
-Katech ported heads
-Ported Eaton 2650 supercharger
-2.7 Griptec Pulley
-Texas Speed pushrods
-Johnson 2126 race lifters
-Brian Tooley valve springs/retainers
-ARP headstuds
-ID1050 injectors
-Porsche G97.50 transaxle
-Wavetrac limited slip differential
-RPS Triple carbon clutch
-Recaro Podium seat
-Aeromotive Trifekta triple 450lph pumps
-Antigravity ATX20HD battery
-Tilton pedal box with Tilton brake/clutch master cylinders
-2490lbs with all fluids and 10 gallons of fuel

Fun car for sure but gets really warm inside even with AC. It drives like a big go kart and puts the power down way better than you would ever think.

Yea, this was the only way I'd own a New Edge. Long term plans are boost of sorts, but I want to either beef up the T45 or swap to a T56 before doing that….even driving it today with everything I've read about the T45 I just feel like the trans is glass….I shift it so slowly and gingerly, lol. Everything else has been done in prep for boost.

I've been in the market for a car like this for a while and my short list included the 2010-2015 Camaro….I just like they way they look and obviously the 6.2 LS. Really nice ride man and a 10.7 is movin!

I've only played around on the street and my car is in no way set up for drag, but (by the gauge cluster timer) I'm getting 0-60 times of low 5's……ease off clutch in 1st, short shift it granny style (I aint tryna break a fork) to 2nd and ride that up to 60…..I'm sure if I actually launched it and quick shifted to 2nd I'd be in the 4's….but again #1 no need, #2 I feel like that T45 is just looking for any reason to snap with 470hp flowing through it.

Preciate the post man. Awesome ride!

Look up "Project Fake Snake" from Car Craft Magazine. That's my car! (one of the only reasons I bought it, build was fully documented)….but the articles might help with your swap. Seems they ran into a few issues that needed to be sorted.

and….JFC your car is sick. I remember when you posted the thread when you started your build (at least I think that was you). So sick man….a true track machine and a fukking head turner. I can only imagine how it performs.

How often do you get it to the track? I can imagine driving it on the street is pretty frustrating. lol

Damn dude….that so clean. I'm sure it's a blast! There was a guy in our neighborhood growing up that had one….not sure what he had done to it, but you could hear the bass/rumble from the exhaust waayy before he pulled onto the street. Those pushrod 302's are beasts.

I always wanted a fox body, but after sitting in one I knew they were just too small for me (6'6 250)…..I just fit in mine only because of racing seats and different brackets.

Ill bet that thing can hurt some people's feelings. Thanks for the post!

After I bought mine I got to talking with my father in law and realized that me being 37, growing up in the 90's early 00's….with SN95's & New Edge's (being 20 years old now) it's pretty much the equivalent of guys that grew up in the 70's wanting Chevelle's and chit in the 90's. Kind of a crazy/weird thing to realize. While the era's are totally different, the same sentiment is there. There is so much nostalgia in the New Edge for me. My dad worked in the Service Department of Ford dealerships my whole life and would randomly bring home Mustangs and we'd cruise around. He thought me how to drive stick in one, do donuts, how to control a slide, I took one to my Junior Prom….was one of my 1st true car loves. Then as I got older I realized what a real fast car was and knew that if I was to ever own a New Edge it was going to have to at the least be a Mach 1 or a Cobra. I got really lucky with my purchase.

Clean AF. I do love a Corvette…..and really you dont need to do anything to it. If you wanted to get crazy you could do a cam and ported blower…..but why, lol that car needs nothing. Chevy knew what they were doing with the ZO6.

Another car in my short list was a C5 ZO6. I couldn't rationalize going newer because I don't want to #1 spend that much money on a toy and #2 feel like I cant drive the fuk out of it, gut the interior and go full racecar mode.

Beautiful car man.

Thanks man. Tbh it’s fast enough for me. I think they put down 520-530 stock and I don’t really live in an area where you can even use it.

Yea. I'm the same. Went for a drive on my lunch break and just got bored. I can be on country back roads in 10 minutes but straight fast is boring and I really don't care to do anything over like 80…I like to get there quickly but im more of the roadcourse type.

This town only exists because of the Air Force base so there are a ton of bad ass cars around (C8's/GT500's/GT350's/Z06's/Hellcats) but the whole town is pretty much suburbs and boring, straight, trafficated, residential/45mph roads.

I Registered for an Autocross event in mid July…..super stoked for that……cant wait to get humbled, lol. Because of my cars mods I'm in the "Street Modified" class which apparently is pretty open to some serious modification. Oh well, at least it will be legal fun.

2-Jay-Z no chit!

I would love to have an mk4 in my collection one day but the way prices are going on them I doubt it'll ever happen. There are just too many other cars I'd rather have for ~$100k.

I have a high compression 565 big block waiting for it. Drag and drive car.

Made 888hp at 6900rpm and 805tq at 5000rpm on the dyno with the hydraulic roller currently in it. I'm going to put in a bigger solid roller in a couple months. Engine builder told me it should be good for another 55hp

I got mine in 2018 before they jumped up in value, I was going to buy an r34 gtr for 45k at the time I knew they were going to go up in value but no idea they would go up that much plus it was stock when I drove it so it was super slow and the supra was my dream car and for 45k I could have bought any supra on the market at the time

I’m old school,probably because I’m old lol .
These vehicles are all but distant memories now unfortunately,as I had no extra room to store

This was my 78 TransAm . Martinique blue only came out in 78 . I’m not a huge fan of blue but this was an exception. Wanted a black TransAm but didn’t have the heart to bastardize it .
Factory Fisher T-roofs , 400 Pontiac engine,
(automatic unfortunately) , 2.56 rear gears .

My 84 square body. Probably the one I miss the most .
4 speed standard , 3.73 gears, 35” tires , 6” lift

Custom door pods I made . Used to be very heavy into car audio

My 81 Z28. Had it back in 86 .
Factory fisher T roofs . 350 sbc, 3.08 gears . This was a factory Muncie four speed . Love standards and find it makes the car as it gives you a much nicer driving experience in classic cars

Some pics from my 1st Autocross last Sunday……..

My 1st run of the day was a 59.98. Last and fastest run was a 55.84. Had 6 runs total…the middle 4 were in the 56's
I've got to spend some time tweaking the suspension…..the rear is way too tight and constantly wanting to come around. I was told I needed to slow down to go faster……was damn near drifting some of the turns and overall the car just felt like a handful anytime I touched the throttle.

Fastest guy in my class ran a 51.5 in a 2017 Mustang GT with some suspension mods and really good tires….In theory I should be as fast if not faster…..we have the same power and I'm considerably lighter.
Fastest run of the day was a 42.7….some guy in a home built cart with a cammed LS and fat slicks.

a couple Miata's were running 49's, there was a GT3 that ran a 46, C8 corvettes running 48's, mini cooper ran a 50, '02 Z06 with suspension mods ran a 49…..and several tube body cars with fat tires were running under 45.

Overall was a great day, great people, a great experience and so much fun….was hot AF though. Will definitely be doing it again.

Picked up my new toy a week ago, got it cleaned up and snapped a few pics over the weekend. There are a couple issues I need to chase down with the fuel system but should be a fun AF ride once I get it sorted.

I've had a raging hard on for the gen 2 V's ever since they came out. This one will be pretty nasty. I decided I didn't want to take half measures to fix my fueling issues so said screw it and ordered a 1200 whp capable dual pump return style system today. Car is only making around 750 or so right now but once I get the new fuel system in it's only some extra blower porting away from mid-high 800's.

That's gonna be a ripper for sure man…..gonna hurt a lot of feelings out on the street. lol

My car is currently prepped and ready to be boosted….fuel system is done, complete rear end swap and built to handle 1100 hp, cooling systems done etc………BUT my trans is only rated for like 400ftlbs of torque (and Im currently making right at 400 to the wheels) so I know that not only do I have to spend the $7k for the blower, a new hood & to find a shop that's not too far away to tune it……it's also going to soon be followed by $3500 and a weekend or 2 for a new trans and I'm just not sure I'm ready for that with a new kid and where I'm currently at in life. lol

I also know that to drop the trans….the header have to come off….to take the driver side header off, the steering shaft has to come out….taking the headers off is easier if the motor mounts come off………..and when I really think about it, it would be easier to just drop the K-member and lift the car off of it………..and to do that I need a lift…..see where Im going with this? haha
