Zelda peaked from A Link to the Past through Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Nothing else ever came close to those three.

It's a bit of a disappointment if you're expecting Zelda from the 90s but it's definitely not one of the worst games ever.

That one looked super interesting as a reboot on the same game with new gameplay, but I never played it. Never took to hand-held consoles. Only the Gameboy and Gameboy Color. Anything past that I only tried peripherally when friends or family had 'em.

Looked like they had some cool stuff on there, though.

Yeah, I feel you in a sense. It's basically the same as most open world action games these days. I need to have a very well crafted world that I genuinely enjoy seeing and exploring to really enjoy these games, because otherwise they are all so samey. When it comes to TotK, it's like there a lot to enjoy about it, but it's also just on such a dated console that it's not really that great to look at compared to what I have become accustomed to. The gameplay is just more BotW and the world even feels like just an expansion to that. So in the end I just struggle to get interested in it.
