Met ex-gf for drinks and she rejected my kiss attempt (srs)

Will do cliffs otherwise I’ll write a lord of the rings length novel that no one has time to read.


CLIFFS:
-I’m 25, she’s 41
-together for roughly 1.5 years
-she broke up with me and said to just be friends about 6 months ago
-we work at the same company but not in the same department but I still contact her for help/vice Versa
-she’s in a much higher position than me and helped guide me since I started working here 2 years ago
-was awkward semi working with her after breakup
-hooked up again after breakup before agreeing to continue as just friends
-she helped me get a promotion within the company about 4 months ago
-asked her to catch up over drinks since we haven’t talked in person outside of the office in a while
-had a goodnight drinking and talking with her after work at a bar
-stared into her eyes and felt the warm fuzzies like old times
-went for a kiss and she turned her head and giggled and said “aha nah nope…just friends remember, just friends” then smiled and kissed me on the cheek and said “see ya around next time we’re in office mate” (srs)
-chuckle back “aha alright yeah just friends, see you around”
-OP sits in near tears/embarrassment after she leaves
-home now at midnight drinking again and almost in tears typing this
